Top Mitsubishi as a world leader in elevator and escalator technology
For current rope-type elevators, the trend is toward use of VVVF Inverter Drive control systems due to their ease of control and energy conservation qualities.
AC power is first converted into DC through a converter, then DC is converted back into three-phase AC. Voltage and frequency are varied to control rotation of the electric motor. By controlling motor rotation speed and torque, this control method delivers superb ride comfort and excellent landing accuracy at each floor.
Energy savings of up to 60%
VVVF inverter control not only delivers smooth control of the traction machine, its regenerative braking system also conserves a significant amount of energy. Used alongside the gearless traction machine with permanent magnet motor, it ensures that elevators operate at optimal power efficiency, using up to 60%** or less power than AC-2 control.
Mitsubishi is currently the only elevator and escalator company in the world that has been able to combine the knowledge and theory of Fuzzy logic in this industry.Neural networks that have been simulated by human behavior, with the help of fuzzy logic or vague logic, analyze the instantaneous conditions of the building by analyzing analog or non-zero and one reactions and adjust the elevator behavior based on the existing conditions of the building. Utilizing this knowledge, which is currently used only in the advanced industries of the United States and Japan, the system is equipped with a kind of advanced artificial intelligence that decreases and increases the speed of opening and closing the doors and the speed of starting and stopping the engine by changing the traffic conditions of the building. As a result, the passenger waiting time will always be in Optimum condition. Using the complex theory and knowledge of Fuzzy logic, the equipment life is very long, the breakdown of very few parts and the energy consumption is extremely reduced, which ultimately helps to maintain the health and green life of the planet.
The record for the highest elevator speed in the world in 2012 with a speed of 12.5 meters per second: Our ultra-fast elevators move passengers in high speed – safety and comfort in the skyscraper of the 70-story Yokohama Index Tower. Since 1992, a total of 59 Mitsubishi speed elevators have risen 296 meters between floors 2 and 69 of the tower in 28 seconds. These elevators use extraordinary technical knowledge to ensure safety and comfort, even at this speed. For this purpose, computer simulations and real free fall test have been used to ensure the efficiency of the intelligent braking system. Noise of air inside the well has been used for this purpose.
The current record for the highest elevator speed in the world is currently 20.5 meters per second at the Shanghai Tower in China with a height of 670 meters as the second tallest skyscraper in the world from the second half of 2016 until today.
The first and only manufacturer of Spiral Escalator in the world:
Spiral escalator technology is exclusive to Mitsubishi, increasing the range of view of passengers and giving a new shape to the surroundings. This escalator model is just one example of the company’s efforts to create a more comfortable environment for humans. The use of sophisticated spiral staircase technologies has enabled us to move slowly toward a destination in a curved path. Due to the inherent beauty of this design, the spiral staircase turns any place into an impressive space, adds to the reputation of that place, increases the value of that place and increases the useful space in that center. These unique escalators have been installed in major shopping malls – galleries – hotel atriums and other prominent buildings around the world.
Mitsubishi Electric has designed and manufactured a new type of traction motors without permanent magnet gearboxes (PM-MOTORS) for high-speed elevators. The unique use of this generation of engines with the double disc braking system has several advantages such as higher efficiency – greater comfort and reduced engine volume and finally a reduction of at least 50% energy consumption. There is no need to intensify the current in the PM motor at start-up time, and these motors are more efficient and respond faster in terms of speed than conventional motors. PM motors have better controls to reduce the harmonic noise of the motor than conventional induction motors, which results in a very smooth movement of the elevator and a sense of passenger safety at high speeds.
With the abbreviated name Mel-Eye, has designed and developed for central control and monitoring of elevators and escalators that can be connected to the building’s BMS system. With the help of this software, the operator inside the BMS room can control the movement of elevators and stairs It is electric and can monitor, control and change the patterns and movement programs of the equipment.
Mitsubishi Highly advanced monitoring software This software is a powerful tool to help the safety and security of commercial and residential complexes and can be very effective in reducing injuries and casualties in critical situations such as fires, earthquakes or emergencies. Mitsubishi elevators and escalators are designed to have intelligent commandability from Mel-Eye software, and at the same time, elevators and escalators can be operated at the same time with timely commands at night and reduced traffic to reduce energy consumption outside the service circuit. Mitsubishi Electric R&D Center is making increasing efforts to use cutting-edge technologies to increase the quality of its products, and now the entire production line is controlled and guided by software and computer simulations, and our precision robots are our core systems. Strict – Environmental tests help to extend the useful life of equipment and customers can enjoy many years of safety and security products.
Since 1995, we have introduced new designs, a full-color graphic innovation, as a creative and artistic design for passenger elevators. Because these designs are computer graphics (CG), our customers have the opportunity to use their company logos – personal images – drawings or any other design they want to decorate the elevator doors.
